However I have noticed that it does so by having to drag a window button into more than 50% of the width of the window button that you want to swap it with, in order for the action to be applied.
I was wondering if it was possible to be able to just make it more like 90-100% so the action happens more immediately when dragging.
This seems to be the way that most other DEs that allow this function, provide this.
If others for some reason like this 50% and don't want it to change, maybe it can be added as setting/option possibly in the "accessebility" section.
Seems like a small issue but it just does not feel right in its current state when using. Hopefully others will agree.

Add new property to enable/disable drag and drop of menu items
This patch is dependent of the following garcon patch: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15981.
This patch allows a user to set a hidden "allow-dnd" xfconf key to enable/disable the drag and drop of menu items in the plugin, via:
xfconf-query -c xfce4-panel -p /plugins/plugin-7/allow-dnd -t bool -s false --create
...where "plugin-7" is the actual number of the applicationsmenu plugin on any given system.

## Description
When i add a new item to the list in panel settings it gets added to the bottom.
Then if i wanted to have it at the top i have to select it and click up button a lot.
Maybe would be better to add the item below what is selected in the list.
But then it cant be inserted as the first item so not perfect solution.
I can drag the icons from the add new items dialog to the panel but i cant drag them to the list in settings.
I settings i can drag items in the list.
But not between the two dialogs.
So if possible drag and drop feature can be added between the settings dialog and add new items dialog so its easier to place the items correctly.

## Description
Launchers allow you to place an icon on the panel which can optionally have a drop down menu. Launchers can be created by dragging an icon from the application menu to an empty space on the panel.
It appears that there is code in the launcher plugin which supports dragging to the drop down menus by hovering over the down arrow and then dropping the icon in the menu. However this does not work. As soon as I drag an icon over the down arrow the drag ends.
This code uses deprecated Gtk+ functions. I have ported it to use the replacements, but it still doesn't seem to work.

From memory, in 4.8 it was possible to DnD window buttons and there was a visual indicator showing the user the place were the Dragged-and-dropped button would end up. In 4.10 DnD was initially dropped, then re-introduced. But the visual indicator got lost along the way.
A DnD visual indication would be useful for those who use `None, allow Drag-and-Drop` sorting order for the window buttons. The indicator could be not unlike what happens when you `right-click on panel item > Move` and then hover the mouse over other panel items...

I noticed that you can't drag an entry in one launcher property window into another. I think this would be a handy feature for when you want to orgranize your launcher buttons. Not sure how feasible this is but since its already possible to drag items from the application finder into a launcher property window, I wouldn't think its too much of a stretch. Thanks.

## Description
As it is today, there's no way to perform drag and drop with "window buttons", as soon as the target window is grouped.
Proposal (KDE4 behaviour) : dragging a file to a button corresponding to grouped windows could prompt a menu containing these windows, so that dragging to one window in that menu raises it and one can perform drag and drop to it.
