After updating an entry in MenuLibre, appfinder is blank

I edit the pulse audio file in menulibre, which created a modified version of the .desktop file in ~/.local/share/applications/ and then i opened appfinder and it was blank. Appfinder needs to be killed and restarted to resolve the issue.
