Zooming with Ctrl+Scroll only changes icon size

Being the typical lazy git I am, I was laid in bed with my screen across the room last night. Browsing my downloaded youtube watch later folder, I zoomed in to see what was what, to absolutely zero effect at all.

It would be nice if I could actually read the filenames. This is list view, so it makes sense I think. As for icon view I'm not sure if scaling the font size would make sense, given that's all about the icons, but hey.
