Some columns can change globally depending on view
It seems that the Search and Recent views can have (or remember) their own unique columns, which is very nice. But some columns, like Location and Recency, disappear and reappear globally (in all windows and tabs) when Search, Recent, or Normal view modes are opened in new windows.
- Search a folder
- Right Click on Columns and add some columns (Location or Recency)
- Choose a search result and select "Open in New Window"
or
- Open Recent view
- Right Click on Columns and add some columns (Location or Recency)
- Open a new window or change a folder in another window
When a new window opens in detail view, and the columns in normal detail view are different that the Search/Recent columns, the Search/Recent view columns reset to the normal detail view columns.
This also happens in reverse, if you open a second window and begin a search, the normal window columns reset to the search view columns.
Hope this was explained well. You can keep both windows open and just switch between folders and Recent view to see the column changes back and forth in both windows.
Seems like it might be related to the patches or issues mentioned in MR !240 (merged)
