Moving files in folder "A" to another folder containing a folder "A" on the same logical drive results in copying them

  1. Move a folder "A" that contains files
  2. to a folder on the same logical drive that contains a folder "A"

Normally this would result in a move operation, which would only change the drives directory & therefore be very quick

But Thunar 1.8.14 on Linux Mint 20 instead starts to copy the files which is slow.

Also: if there is not enough free place on the drive for the copy, you get an error message as if you had copied the folder

If I use Krusader to do the same, it works fine without copying.

This Bug might be related to Bug #196 (closed) (the drive uses NTFS)
