Cannot drag-and-drop with the right mouse button in "Detailed List" or "Compact List" views

It should be possible to drag-and-drop using the right mouse button in any view. This action should produce a pop-up menu at the drop location, where you get to choose an action, eg:

• Copy here
• Move here
• Create shortcut here

This sort of works as expected in "Icon" view - if I'm very quick with my drag action, and begin moving the mouse before the "drag-timer" expires, Thunar will then wait for the button release before producing the drag context menu on the target. If I do the same thing in either of the "List" views, it behaves as though the "drag-timer" was 0, so the context menu appears immediately on the right-click (ie: ignoring drag and button hold)

What's completely non-intuitive, and I discovered the comments below and from other issues, is that I can get the behavior I want by initiating the right-click from one of the details columns, but not the name or the icon. Terrible UX.

In my opinion, the current functionality in List views is "broken". A mouse click should never ignore the "button hold", and should not produce an effect until the button is released. There is no reason for this feature to cease working in list views. This is also a horrible user experience. Personally, I never use Icon mode, so I just assumed that right-click drag-and-drop was completely broken in Thunar.
