Add command line option to open specific split view panes

I apologize if already exists but it seems that the Split View is missing some expected behaviors/features.

Suggesting to add command option for Split View that would allow Thunar to open up in Split View instead of relying on a shortcut key or a setting that makes all instances of Thunar open in split view.

Currently in Thunar command you can type in path after the command name and it will open Thunar in that location.
For example thunar Downloads

In this command line option I would also allow user to be able to choose the directory for each of the two file panes. So Thunar would load up with specified path in the LEFT pane and specified path in the RIGHT pane.
