Filter box captures Ctrl key focus, blocking Ctrl-F, etc.

Current behavior

When filtering (typing in the main file area) the filter text box in the corner captures Ctrl keypress combinations, so Crtl-H, Ctrl-F, etc do not work until ESC is pressed to dismiss the filter box.

Expected outcome

Since no key combination is used by the filter text box (AFAIK), they shouldn't be captured, but propagated to the file area to avoid blocking searching, etc.
