Inconsistent deletion confirmation for trashed files

Steps to reproduce

1. Move a file into the trash.
2. Alternately, either use the context menu to delete the file once in the trash, or use the delete key.

Current behavior

The context menu results in the display of a confirmation dialog, yet the delete key does not.

Expected outcome

The confirmation should normally be consistent.

Additional information

Whatever behavior is desired, the relevant options should be easy to find, understand and mainpulate.
