Option to add all files opened via Thunar to GtkRecent

When I open a txt-file directly via address-bar of thunar with Featherpad, then I get no entry in "recently opened files" (recent:///).

However, if I do the same with a mousepad, it works as expected.

System: Xfce 4.18; thunar 4.18.4

How to reproduce:

  1. Install the txt-Editor Featherpad

  2. Open thunar

  3. configure thunar:
    3a) right click on a txt-file
    3b) -> open with
    3c) -> set default
    3d) select Featherpad
    3e) check the option "Use by default for files of this type"
    3f) press the "open button"
    3g) thunar is now configured in a way, that *.txt files are opened with Featherpad

    Now the issue follows:

  4. Click with the mouse pointer in the address bar of thunar

  5. type in a path to a file. For example /home/user/folder/MyFile.txt (If you have this file)

  6. press the enter button on the keyboard

  7. Look into recent:/// --- The file MyFile.txt is not in the list. Expectation: The file will be in this list.

Edit: The same happens, if I open a *.doc file with the programme Textmaker 2021 from SoftmakerOffice (https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/softmaker-office). (It's an alternative for MS Word.)
