Thunar 4.18 - Thumbnails Generated, Regardless of Ones Made with 4.16 or Earlier

I'm using Debian Sid and the 4.18 build of Thunar has been problematic for me, so I've had to revert to 4.16 for the time being.

One of the issues I'm having with it is that it seems to be making its own thumbnails of images and videos, regardless if they were already generated with 4.16 and earlier. Even when I downgrade, those old thumbnails are still there. I have Tumbler plugins installed, but I noticed this being an issue with simply changing the Thunar version (thunar and thunar-data).
