## Description
I think it would very useful to implement the option of formating a pendrive from the right click mouse menu, where you only can now mount or unmount it. I don´t know if the best would be to make it throught a plugin or in thunar directly, but the option to format your usb to ext4, ntfs, fat32, ... directly like in windows an other desktop managers would be great.

## Description
I have a ridiculous digital picture frame that stupidly shows embedded thumbnails rather than the actual image if they exist. So I have to open each file in turn in GIMP and re-save them without thumbnails, assuming that this removes all of the thumbnails from the image file. If I could see in the file properties if the file contained an embedded thumbnail, then I could determine which files need to have the thumbnail removed rather than guess.
Apparently a JPEG can have various sources of thumbnails (from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JPEG_File_Interchange_Format#Exif.2FPhotoshop_compatibility)

## Description
In a similar vein to displaying EXIF data for JPEGs, display data from PNG chunks for PNG image files.
Various chunk types are listed in the PNG specification here:
http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/spec/register/pngreg-1.3.0-pdg.html
In particular, display the tEXt and zTXt chunks in a suitable property page.
I'd have a go myself at this, but not being familiar with GTK nor XFCE programming it would take me longer than an expert. If someone were to give some hints, I'd be grateful. On a filesystem that doesnn't support the executable bit (e.g. NTFS, FAT32), trying to set this permission bit fails. Thunar lets the user set this bit, but it's instantly reset again.
Incompatible permissions should instead be grayed out and a corresponding message added to the dialog.

## Description
I noticed while downloading a film clip through Chromium, with the Downloads folder open in Thunar, that tumblerd was eating CPU. Since the thumbnail of the first 100 MB of the clip should be equal to the one of the first 200 MB, etc., would it be possible for Thunar to not request new thumbnails when a file has only been appended to?
I don't know how hard that is to keep track of … I'm assuming tumblerd doesn't/shouldn't be able to keep that kind of information along with the thumbnail, although it would of course be a more general solution if tumblerd itself could ignore these kinds of changes.https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/-/issues/37Show connection error in tooltip in locationbar2020-10-22T19:07:03ZBugzilla MigrationShow connection error in tooltip in locationbar## Submitted by Simon Steinbeiß `@ochosi`

When you want to select a file or folder by typing its name, while the folder is not completely processed, the small pop-up gets opened but when the content arrives thunar will not jump to / select the file / folder.
It would be awesome if thunar would trigger typed search terms on finishing the loading process and keep the search term visible until the folder is fully loaded.https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/-/issues/31Default setting for showing hidden files2020-10-18T09:01:31ZBugzilla MigrationDefault setting for showing hidden files## Submitted by Kevin Cox

Gstreamer audio preview
I don't know if anyone has switched away from Thunar because of this and maybe it doesn't matter. Most open source devs are friendly and don't "compete" right? Even though I like Thunar better for most things, one feature in Nautilus that I have yet to see duplicated is the automatic preview of audio files.
This patch may be flaky but it took me awhile to get right. I think the audio preview is quite reliable. It uses a timer and motion-notify-events and it is careful not to interfere with existing clicking and dragging callbacks. The mouse cursor is changed with GDK and the file is played with Gstreamer. I'd be thrilled if you could work it into Thunar in some way.

## Description
This behavior change was noticed between Thunar 1.0.2 to 1.1.4-r1, I have not tried other versions.
When moving or copying a directory, and directory symlink of the same name exists in the destination:
Previous behavior was to merge contents of the directory being copied/moved over with those of the directory symlink in the destination.
As of 1.1.4-r1, the behavior is to overwrite the directory symlink, replacing it with the directory of the same name.

Thunar enhancement for disk's space and other ...
Hi all:
We have done some enhancement based on Thunar's version which I git from
"git://git.xfce.org/xfce/thunar" at 09,16 2009.
The enhancement is as following
1, can show the available disk space
2, can show the available space of the mounted removable device, and add an
"eject button" to unmount it.
3, show a notification once the removable device is removed unsafely
4, Auto-refresh the removable device once a copying operation done
These enhancement can make Thunar more user friendly, it is useful for some
computer newbies to use the Thunar, which has been verified in our project.
you can check the attach file : Thunar-enhancement-git-version-20090916.patch
