Updates for release
Is that relevant for anybody ?
I mean, putting 1.8.15 into master would be wrong, since master already differs alot compared to 1.8.15.
Putting the upcomming release-number in as well could be confusing.
Maybe "upcoming release" + "dev" ? No idea if there is any standard for that out there.
If you have good arguments for a specific version scheme for master, please let me know !
Well, I noticed this when I clicked on "help -> about" in thunar.
1.8.13git-8fd49a43, so I looked for an explanation, and I told myself that
PACKAGE_VERSIONin thunar-dialogs.c was based on the version number in configure.ac.in.
So from this point of view, I think that the current version number would be good.
This would give
1.8.15git-8fd49a43, which is what we expect to see.
That said, I'm agree that this is not very important for the end user, who typically uses thunar packaged in his distribution.
That's why I preferred to put a message here, rather than opening a new issue.
In fact, I thought it was an oversight: I didn't mean to disturb, sorry if that was the case.
