libxfce4ui-WARNING ICE I/O Error

I have a problem with xfce4, specifically with libxfce4ui. When I enable autologin, the xfce4 session does not load at all, I have a black screen with a cursor. In .xsession-errors I found this entry

(xfdesktop:556): libxfce4ui-WARNING**: 23:03:37.340: ICE I/O Error
(xfdesktop:556): libxfce4ui-WARNING **: 23:03:37.340: Disconnected from session manager.

Currently, on my xfce4 I have compiz installed which normally loads xfdesktop, but when I turn it off by switching to xfwm4, after logging in again, the effects I described above are there. I am using arch linux.
