Google Chrome Apps .desktop files not being picked up from ~/.local/share/applications/

Weirdly this seems to be machine specific and I cannot work out why. However, the problem is that on my desktop machine neither whiskermenu nor the standard Xfce menu doesn't show shortcuts for my Chrome apps. In xfce4-appfinder, they do show up and there is a "Chrome Apps" category not shown in the other menus.

Not entirely sure if this is a garcon issue or not, but was advised by the whiskermenu dev to post an issue here.

OS: Arch Linux Kernel: x86_64 Linux 6.10.10-arch1-1 Xfce: 4.18 xfce4-panel: 4.18.6 xfce4-appfinder: 4.18.1 whiskermenu: 2.8.3

Google chrome creates .desktop files in ~/.local/share/applications/ and for example, the one for outlook looks like this:

chrome-faolnafnngnfdaknnbpnkhgohbobgegn-Default.desktop

I'm certain Xfce menu / whiskermenu is picking up other .desktop files in this location, as I can edit them with observable results in the menu. However, these chrome-generated ones don't appear in the menu. The do appear in appfinder.
