Thunar fills .xsession-errors if %n,%R or %V is used for the date format.
The date should be written in two lines on my system. for this purpose I used %n for formatting. From this moment on, Thunar wrote about 100 error messages per second in the .xsessions-errors.
In the example, error messages with permitted and impermissible characters. Each message only once. these repetitions are estimated to be 100 times per second. In a short test with a few characters, it was over 6000 lines.

I also tested it again in a fresh installation with "mint 20.2 xfce" in qemu VM. Here the error can also be reproduced. So that I don't assume a conflict with my configuration.
the hash of the instalations.ISO has been checked.
