General issues with screen reader and accessibility technologies

Hello, I'm blind user and use pc with assistive technologies. Occasionally I try Xfce desktop because I need a light desktop environment and this I think that is best one. When I use it I have some problem with few component such as desktop and Thunar file manager, but in many cases I have significative latency delay from screen reader. In particular with desktop I can't read text on links when moving focus with arrow keys, Orca don't speak it. For example, if on desktop there are Computer, Trash and Home if I try to move focus with arrow keys these aren't read. Same problem exist in Thunar but is easily passable switch to details view with Ctrl+2 shortcut. I know that Xfce have accessibility support and I would improve it if it's possible.
