When multiple archive managers are installed, the dialog to select one only occasionally is displayed

Description
E.g. I have engrampa and file-roler on my system. --> Select Dialog is shown on "create archive" but is not shown on "extract"
Now I uninstall file-roller (sudo apt-get purge file-roller) --> No select Dialog, engrampa is used, thats fine.
Now I re-install file-roller and restart thunar (kill as well the daemon) --> Still no select Dialog
