Bad rendering of whiskermenu, when plugin runs as an internal.
Information
- Panel version:
4.20.6 (Xfce 4.20). - Whisker menu version:
2.10.0.
Bug description
When whisker menu plugin runs as internal (e.g. on Wayland, currently by default), a yellow color renders in some places of components (background / scrollbar handle color / shadow ???):
There is also a bug with rendering the text in the menu settings, as it is black there regardless of the theme (dark-on-dark has really bad contrast). Another bug is with scrollbar background being transparent. There might be other places or components I didn't have noticed to render incorrectly, these are just the examples I've found out for now.
The bug is only reproducible with whisker menu being run as an internal process. It seems to be reproducible regardless of the GTK theme, even default themes such as Adwaita seem to render in similar manner. It is currently unknown whether it is reproducible in X11 as well. The bug is not reproducible with all plugins forced as internal, but forcing all plugins as externals causes its own share of problems (outside of plugin elements being in their own layer on Wayland, tasklist plugin seem to be broken on X11):
