Run-action: "Run [appname]" in some circumstances does nothing, and could be configurable in Whisker Menu (add a check box to add/remove it)
- OS: Manjaro Linux
- De: Xfce 4.20
- xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin: 2.9.2
Yesterday, while I was configuring the desktop files in Whisker Menu, I noticed the following: I typed "Backup" and this is what appeared as results:
As you can see, the right applications were listed, but is also appeared the entry "Run backup", which appears also when I type the name of every other applications, like, eg. Gimp:
The "Run Backup", however, if clicked, does nothing at all, because the "backup" word is in the description of the desktops files, and is not a command to run.
The "Run gimp", instead, execute Gimp as expected, but I've found it redundant, since the search result has offered to me to execute Gimp by simple clicking on it's icon which comes from the desktop file.
My suggestions:
- Fix the "Run [appname] when the "appname" is just a description of the desktop file.
- In the options of Whisker Menu, add a checkbox with the ability to enable/disable the "Run [appname]"
