Loss of focus when dragging favourites

Using version 2.4.4 on Xubuntu 20.04. When trying to rearrange favourites I often lose focus of the application. What I mean is that it seems as if I'm letting go of the mouse, even though I'm definitely not. I don't have the problem when dragging things in other applications and I've tried it with my laptop's touchpad as well as an external mouse. It also sometimes works to drag and drop in the whisker menu, but rarely.

I've made a short video to show what I mean: dragging.mkv
