Video playback and games stuttering when using xfce4-systemload-plugin

Description

When using xfce4-systemload-plugin I have stuttering in video playback (tried with the players I use: vlc, mpv, mplayer) and games (The Talos Principle, Soma, Amnesia) every time the plugin updates its values (with the default value of 0.5 seconds for "update interval" I get stuttering every 0.5 seconds). Using conky or multiload-ng with the same update interval to monitor cpu, mem, swap load I get no stuttering at all (everything runs smoothly).
