Description

If you want to select another output while playing, the output is not maintained after the media file is stopped. Tested with pavucontrol installed and uninstalled and with another pulseaudio gui instead so I think it is not related to a pulseaudio gui but specifically to xfce4pulseaudio-plugin 0.4.1-1.

Steps to reproduce (you need two output at least to test it).

  1. Play a media file (sound or video) with any application (vlc, smplayer etc...)
  2. change output while playing : the output is correctly changed
  3. Stop the application playing the media file
  4. change the output with xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin 0.4.1-1
  5. play a media file again

Expected result : The media file is played through the output we've selected last time

Actual result : The media file is played through the output we've selected while the application was playing the first time but the output displayed by xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin is the other one
