Input device has selected line-in boost instead of line-in, for volume control

I have the recording indicator set to display, however using the scroll wheel on it, to change the volume, is infact changing the 'line-in boost' volume, instead of just the line-in volume.

I'm unsure what other info you may require. I'm running gentoo amd64 - xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin 0.4.9.

Could you check what the pavucontrol do? Does it have the same issue? Do you use pulseaudio or pipewire?

pavucontrol does the same thing.

I use pulseaudio.

It means that pulseaudio has the issue. You can try pipewire, maybe it'll work better there?
