Only Showing Dummy Output Device

Ive always had to restart my computer to get the sound to work. All of the sudden instead pro audio or any of the other output devices it usually shows it only shows Dummy Output and wont play any sound. I have tried reinstalling all of the packages from the command line but nothing changes and it was working just fine this afternoon. i have not changed any settings in between the time of it working earlier and now.
