CSS style not being applied, Notes behaves as if error; version 1.9.0, XFCE 4.16
I have the plugin running on two Debian Testing machines, say hostA and hostB; in hostA I changed some CSS properties on /usr/share/xfce4-notes-plugin/gtk-3.0/gtk-main.css
; the file I use is here: https://pastebin.com/BVsCs4zk (I show the link so you see it's a Pastebin URL). Here's what the plugin looks like on hostA:
Here's the plugin on hostB:
The latter looks as the plugin does when there is an error in the CSS file, but since the files are identical I cannot understand why the style is not applied on hostB. In summary, the changes are:
- Set the padding of each tab to 0.
- Change the definition of
theme_text_color
. - Set the text colour of each tab to the above.
On hostB, I've noticed that trying to change the file ~/.config/xfce4/xfce4-notes.css
is useless, because everytime I reopen the plugin it is generated anew with the default information (that's why I edited the file above); I haven't tried modifying that file on hostA since the style works.
Aside of the fact that the style is missing, it is very annoying that a custom style works on one machine but not on another. The configurations of XFCE on both machines are identical. Perhaps I'm missing a file on hostB, or haven't edited one.
Please help! Thanks!
