Hotmail IMAP new emails not notified

Hi there, I am new here. Haveing some issue with the plugin since today - I upgraded to linux kernel 4.4 today - maybe this is already the issue? Following thing:

The panel plugin does not notify me about new mails in my hotmail account, but my other account works well. I can even choose the inbox-directory for the hotmail account and it lists all other directories of this account correctly, so I guess it IS connecting to the account, but just does not notify about new mails (that's why I did not choose "IMAP" in the bug options here).

Another thing is the version. If I click on "about" it says in a GUI info window that it is version 1.2.0, but I can only choose 1.1.0 here.

Maybe you can give me some ideas what kind of information I can gather for you as well - the GUI log does not show anything. Maybe there are some commands I can fire into the terminal to get more informatin for you?
