I have the latest version of the plugin (1.6.0) but this problem began to occur shortly after I upgrade to version 4.12 of XFCE in Gentoo (formerly had 4.10). The bug in concrete is caused at decouple the program embedded with the "Pop out" option (sometimes also happens after starting the desktop environment) and then can not go back to be embedded in where it was, the only way to solve it that I found is killing the process several times until it reappears in place. In the attached gif you can be given a clearer idea of how this problem occurs ("Mostrar" is "Pop Out" and "Incrustar" is "Embed"). Although the program that can be seen in the "demonstration" is LXPanel, the same bug occurs with other programs that have been tested. Also I have noticed that in the console the following errors appear:
- (wrapper-1.0:10946): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_drag_dest_unset: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
- (lxpanel:10989): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_widget_get_realized: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
- (wrapper-1.0:10949): libxfce4util-CRITICAL **: IA__xfce_rc_write_entry: assertion 'value != NULL' failed ...but I suspect that has more to do with the new drag and drop feature that was added in the latest version of the plugin (in previous versions no errors are displayed). My theory is that some of the components that were updated a few weeks ago (either XFCE or GTK) could be causing problems with this plugin. For what it's worth, these are the XFCE components that were updated that day:
