History not saving full item count.

Only the most recent 100 texts are saved, both in the clipman gui "full history" and in the /home/*/.cache/xfce4/clipman/textsrc file. Settings have been the same through several system reboots.

"settings" dialog Behavior tab "Menu items:" 100 History tab "Size of the history:" 1000

Xfce4 Settings editor(gui) xfce4-panel max-texts-in-history 10000 using xfconf-query -c xfce4-panel -p /plugins/clipman/settings/max-texts-in-history -s 5000 --create --type int does change the count in the gui settings editor but the issue persisted.

Changing to 995 and back to 1000 with the clipman settings dialog also updated the xfce settings editor and now more than 100 items are saved.

So the settings dialog is changing something other than the obvious or something in the source code is incorrectly handling settings over 1000 (by reverting to 100).

clipman 1.6.2 and 1.6.5, xfce 4.18.0 on Debian bookworm kernel 6.1 I didn't see this issue mentioned in any of the version change summaries up through 1.7.0 or in any bug reports. I don't want to mess around compiling and backporting unless there is evidence the issue has already been fixed.

Also why is the max history setting arbitrarily limited to 1000? This would likely be plenty if individual junk lines could be easily deleted (without manually editing the text file), but it gets a bit cramped with all the fluff, and 100 is way too cramped. Mostly the arbitrariness is what bugs me, it isn't based on available data storage, memory, or the max count of an integer/short, ie.
