point in the past, and then some time later (perhaps even days later),
hit ctrl+shift+f to start a new search, and immediately start typing my
new search query, only to find that the previous text in the dialog
entry is still there, and I've merely appended to it. Then I have to
ctrl+a to select all and retype it. Annoying.
This changes the behavior so that every time the search dialog is shown,
if there is not already a selection in the entry, it selects the text so
that immediate typing will overwrite it.https://gitlab.xfce.org/apps/xfce4-terminal/-/merge_requests/57Draft: Feature: User Profiles2023-08-09T09:11:37ZAmrit Kashyap BorahDraft: Feature: User ProfilesThis MR is to implement user profiles for xfce-terminal.

This MR is compatible with the existing restore session functionality provided by xfce-session-manager and aims to provide session restoration for non-Xfce environments.
Additionally a new `--restore` command-line option is provided which synergizes with `--window` and `--tab`.

Can be useful when user turn off window decorations and need a subtle
hint or want strong window borders.
This MR simply draws to the surface right before it is deployed. Border
is only drawn if setting is set in `terminalrc`. It draws *over* existing
surface - hence any text etc. - but only 1px? wide + uses `CAIRO_OPERATOR_ADD`
which accumulates layers.
