Add "Invert Shift+Mouse behavior" to Preferences

As of now, mouse-aware apps that run in xfce4-terminal capture mouse events by default.
If I want to e.g. copy some text from HTOP I need to hold Shift. Can I please have an option to invert this, e.g. under Preferences>Advanced?
