terminal crashes with error message "Invalid count value"

Hello, I'm running Xfce4-terminal (xfce4-terminal 1.1.3 ,Xfce 4.20) under MX Linux. The terminal window displays very briefly and then disappears. The error message is: string repeat: Invalid count value '-1'. The details of my OS:
