Preferences window has width larger than screen and I can't resize it

when I click edit -> preferences in the xfce4-terminal menu or open xfce4-terminal --preferences, the width of the preferences window is huge and even goes beyond the screen limits and I can't resize it either.

Using Xubuntu 24.04, Xfce4 4.18 and xfce4-terminal 1.1.3.
