Differences in embedded shortcuts editor for different terminal-preferences

The preferences dialog on the right has been opened an open terminal instance while the dialog on the left has been opened from the drop down of the application on Gnome (The option under the mouse cursor (Oh! the cursor didn't show in the screenshot. But the option is still highlighted in the top left dropdown)).

The settings editor doesn't show the current settings. Is this desirable ?
