xfwm4 gets ignored entirely

I recently upgraded from Xubuntu 20.04 to 22.04 and found that some apps look like GNOME, including xfce4-taskmanager.

For example, how it looked in 20.04:

In 22.04 the window manager decorations disappeared and the space slightly less efficiently used due to the tall search bar and new window bar:

Might it be possible to restore the old layout? The current one breaks the uniform appearance of xfwm4 which I prefer over the GNOME looks. Thanks :)
