My laptop is configured to suspend when the lid is closed. However, when I open the lid, the screen briefly shows the contents of the unlocked screen for a second before showing the lock screen. It shows whatever applications were open when I closed the lid. I do not have this issue when suspending via the menu and waking the system up.
There is nothing useful in the logs. I previously discussed this issue here and here (years ago on Arch).
