Preview corrupted for modes from xscreensaver

The preview box within the screensaver preferences appears to be corrupted when viewing modes from xscreensaver. The native modes (like Floating Xfce) seem to be unaffected. They work fine in the full screen preview and the actual screensaver, its just the preview box thats broken. Since I just installed Xfce I thought I was just missing some component but I was able to replicate the issue with Debian, Fedora, and Xubuntu Live CDs in QEMU.

Screenshot from Debian Forky (xfce4-screensaver 4.20.1) running in QEMU. The Xubuntu Questing (xfce4-screensaver 4.20.1) and Fedora Rawhide Live CD (xfce4-screensaver 4.20.0) seem to do the same thing.

If I go back to the Debian Trixie Live CD (xfce4-screensaver 4.18.4) the preview box renders correctly. The same goes for Xubuntu Noble (xfce4-screensaver 4.18.3), Xubuntu Plucky (xfce4-screensaver 4.18.4), and Fedora 43 (xfce4-screensaver 4.18.4)
