Request: Change the "square button" property to a thinner button

Problem Description

The notifications button expands to a square in proportion to the panel height. This is an inconvenience for panels larger than 40px (46 in my case) because it doesn't fit aesthetically in the area where the system tray would traditionally go. It even becomes larger than a window button, unnecessarily taking up additional space on the panel and displaying a very spaced-out icon from other plugins.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Add the notifications plugin right next to the system tray.
  2. Increase the panel height to more than 40px (46 in my case).
  3. Set the panel icon size to 24px and the system tray icon size to 22px by disabling the square button property (as Papirus suggests).

Expected Behavior

The button should not expand beyond the fixed icon size, as the plugin does. Weather plugin or wavelan

Additional information

I've tried reducing the size by using "padding" in gtk.css, but it doesn't work.
