I selected several directories, which take about 298 MB in total, in the file manager on top of the window and dragged them to the composition window below. It took 5 minutes until the first 55 MB were added to the composition. Then I aborted it. Adding the whole 298 MB should take only a few seconds or a minute maximum as it takes with K3b.
