However, in Thunar the device is visible.
I tried xfBurn on 2 distros, Archcraft Openbox & Manjaro Gnome (both up to date) & it was the same problem.
I tried another app (Brasero) & was able to burn a disc, however Brasero has some other bugs which led me to delete it. I only mention this as evidence that the device is functional. I was also able to burn a CD on my wife Win11 computer using the same device.
I'm currently using xfBurn on Archcraft.

At first I thought may be the disc or the BluRay writer were defective but when I ran K3b, it detected the disc properly, which means the problem is with XFBurn.

...When building xfburn from commit 67388ba6eac6c5b57c5f2c073e0e4b13ac6f9922 using GTK 3.24.25, deprecation warnings are emitted concerning:
* `void gdk_threads_init(void)`
* `void gdk_threads_enter(void)`
* `void gdk_threads_leave(void)`
This is the warning I see in the documentation for each:
"<function> has been deprecated since version 3.6 and should not be used in newly-written code. All GDK and GTK+ calls should be made from the main thread"
I am not familiar with the GDK Threads API, so I am unsure what a fix for these deprecation warnings would look like.
