Possible crash on closing when displaying an animated GIF

This is not systematically reproducible because for a crash to occur, a source must be dispatched after the image viewer is finalized.

It is easier to reproduce by switching from one animated GIF to another, and closing the window as soon as the second GIF starts to display.
