Allow solid background without image

In an image viewer, to me it seems distracting to have an image also added into the background that cannot be turned off.
By default this application shows an image of a coffee cup within a circle.
Suggesting to allow the user to be able to turn off this coffee cup image from background.
If added, would probably add this setting to Preferences in the Display tab because there is already an option here to allow user to change background from transparent to a desired color selected.

In this application, seems it can load images a little slowly if they are about 800KB or more in file size.
So even if there is a little pause between loading images, you can see a very quick flashing of an image, which is the coffee cup background behind the actual image before it loads. Can be distracting and can look more like something is wrong.
Using an SSD so I imagine if any users using NVMe probably will not notice?
