## Description
Seems to be the same problem as described here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=618714
Tested it with Parole 0.52 and 0.60.
SSA/ASS subtitles are just not displayed and no error messages are generated (Compiled with --enable-debug=full and run with --gst-debug-level=4).
Furthermore I tested with both gstreamer 0.1 and 1.0 yielding the same results.
In the reference bug report are test files to illustrate the bug.

Hello, I am using parole-0.5.4-1 on Manjaro Linux.
Parole does not play .dat file which contains digital video (svcd).
By not play I mean that when I open it with parole, it doesnt play it, nor does it ask for any missing codec to be installed.
The following codecs are installed on my system, all of which were listed as optional dependency for parole:
gst-libav
gst-plugins-bad
gst-plugins-base
gst-plugins-ugly
The same file plays on VLC media player.
When I click on it, Thunar displays it as "RIFF Audio" in the status bar.
I have attached a screenshot also. (After double clicking the media file)

The playlist I used while creating this report.
Hello,
If I try to open my .xspf playlist (which contains 27 channels, and works in other media player) I always get two messages:
1) "Additional software is required
Parole needs DVB-T protocol source to play this file.
It can be installed automatically."
At the terminal these two messages are shown, 22 times each:
```
(parole:14883): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_file_get_path: assertion 'G_IS_FILE (file)' failed
(parole:14883): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_list_store_iter_next: assertion 'priv->stamp == iter->stamp' failed
```
Only 5 channels appear in Parole's playlist (0005. Radio 3HQ, 0012. Radio Exterior RNE, 0016. DIVINITY, 0020. PARAMOUNT CHANNEL. ¡NUEVO DIAL!, and 0027. esRadio)
I choose "Install", and then the second window appears:
2)
```
Invalid command line
The parameters passed to the application had an invalid format. Please file a bug!
The parameters were:
--transient-for=106956730
gstreamer|1.0|parole|DVB-T protocol source|urisource-dvb-t
```
And nothing else happens. If after that I try to play any of the 5 channels in the playlist, I get the two previously mentioned windows again, and this warning appears in the console:
`(parole:14883): GLib-CRITICAL **: Source ID 50 was not found when attempting to remove it`
I use Parole 0.6.1. My OS is Xubuntu 14.04, 64bit.
Thanks for your work!

## Description
Slightly unusual configuration here so the scenario isn't typical, but the end result of the crash is pretty serious (Parole won't run afterwards, segfaults every time it tries to start up) so I'm reporting it.
I'm running Parole on XUbuntu, which is running in a VirtualBox VM using a Windows 7 Pro x64 host.
[redacted]@dev:~/Desktop$ uname -a
Linux dev 3.16.0-33-generic #44-Ubuntu SMP Thu Mar 12 12:19:35 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I have a Logitech bluetooth headset. I plugged the USB blutooth dongle in while Parole was playing an mp3 file through the speakers.
The audio switched successfully to the headset and continued to play for maybe 10-20 seconds, but then stopped.
At that point the play/pause button would toggle back and forth but the elapsed time display in Parol didn't update regardless of whether it was "playing" or paused. No audio output at all.
I closed Parole, tried to restart it and it prompted me to send a bug report and re-launch the application. I selected that, but nothing happened other than the dialog disappearing. It didn't re-launch.
Since then I tried to launch it (via XFCE favorites menu) 5 more times, each time I do, nothing happens other than it logs a new segfault error in the system error log. Tail of dmesg looks like so:

I'm guessing the error is related to the other message "Warning! Unlikely big volume range (=3072), cval->res is probably wrong."
I'll update this incident with additional info after I log out/in and/or reboot to see if it will start up aagain.

## Description
Since a recent update in Arch Linux to gtk3/clutter/cogl, parole (built from git) segfaults when the clutter backend is enabled. Not using the "--enable-clutter" configuration parameter makes parole work again. This is probably related to clutter migration to gdk backend (from x11)- see: https://blogs.gnome.org/clutter/

## Description
When the preferences "Always replace playlist with opened files" is checked, it becomes impossible to add more than one file to the playlist.
To test, open a file browser (Thunar in my use case), select a few audio files. Then, either right-click and chose "Open with Parole", or drag-and-drop them into Parole's playlist. In both case, only one of the files gets added to the playlist.

Output when trying to play the DVD
When launching Parole and opening the DVD, Parole throws the attached output. At the same time, the video screen stays as it is; no blank image, no video, no audio, no menu.

Now Parole allows setting the Video Output device in Settings > Display. Please add an option that will allow to select the Audio Output device.
This is especially important when using HDMI, or an external USB DAC. Most video players like VLC or Gnome MPlayer have such a config option.

Parole version: 0.8.0
When hovering with the cursor between the 3 bottom right corner buttons: Volume, Full Screen, Show Playlist.
i.e. hovering with the cursor between the buttons, in order to change description box showing the button name.
Instead of just seeing the button description (e.g. "Show Playlist").
There is blinking of the "description box" showing for few ms the image of the upper left corner of the GUI of the menu (e.g. "Media").
This reproduction requires moving the cursor back and forth on the border between two buttons and waiting for the description box to be shown.

## Description
playlist is working if you add files one by one and you can reoder them since https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10066
problem comme where you add a full set of files by opening a CD or a directory
usually the files in this set have a listening order that should be kept
usually this files have names like
01-nn
02-aa
03-cc
but the playlist order is weird and lost the order number beginning the file name
and you get this strange play list sorted alphabetically but not with the full file name ==>
aa
cc
nn
even if the metadata is ok with same number in

## Description
Pre-conditions:
- Fresly installed Xubuntu 14.04 with all available updates installed (as of 2014-06-08)
- Have packages necessary for DVD playback installed
Use-case:
1. insert DVD -> Parole is automatically started
2. click Play
3. try to interact with Parole
Result:
- DVD playback works (with subtitles) in Parole window
- None of the controls in the Parole screen work
- Resizing Parole window doesn't resize video playback and switching to another window and back leaves garbage to Parole window (to the area not overwritten by video playback)
- If in windowed mode, clicking on window close button gives error about Parole not responding to input i.e. GUI side is completely frozen as it doesn't even respond to WM_PING messages

## Description
Opening a DVD ISO file works when you open it from the File->Open menu, but not if you give it as a parameter for Parole, eg.
`parole filename.iso`
Effects Pasi Lallinaho on Parole 0.7.0 with Xubuntu 14.10.
Effects MatthewAllen on Parole 0.8.1 with Ubuntu 15.10.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Open Terminal
2) `$ parole test.iso`
Expected Result: The ISO opens and begins playing.
Actual Result: Parole opens but does nothing.

Current display of audio by Parole + concept display of audio for Parole
Currently when playing audio files, Parole displays a rather small image of the album art embedded to it. Therefore, it would be aesthetically pleasing if the artwork had the ability to take up more space (i.e. image expands with Parole's window size).
Attached are two images: one of what Parole currently displays, and a concept of an optional display for Parole based on what this feature request would try to implement.
