Cursor disappears when returning after screen lock has activated

Hi, y'all. I was just working on fixing some errors in a project for my Linux distribution, F3OS (The Free Family-Friendly Operating System), a web-filtered distribution, in an attempt to make computer and Internet use safer for families, which is available with Xfce as one of, right now, two desktops available for it.

Anyways -- and I'm sorry to be gross, but I had to get up and use our bathroom. When I came back and logged back in from LightDM, the cursor in Mousepad had disappeared, and I've seen this happen more than once. Closing and restarting Mousepad or reopening the file I was working on brought it back.

This is happening on my own distribution, F3OS, which is based on Devuan. Thanks in advance for fixing this.
