Segfault when starting

I am using Mousepad 0.6.4 on XFCE Manjaro Linux.

I just updated my system yesterday, and today when I start Mousepad I am getting this error: (mousepad:16872): Mousepad-CRITICAL **: 11:07:53.205: mousepad_encoding_read_bom: assertion 'contents != NULL && length > 0' failed Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I had a number of open files, and also some unsaved buffers in ~/.local/share/Mousepad/ so perhaps it is trying to load one of these.
