Question / feature: line-by-line scrolling
Could an optional non-smooth / line-by-line scrolling behavior be implemented?
Looks like this depends on gtksourceview4. Would this require a request to upstream, first?
To me, locking scroll to full lines would make a lot more sense than the current smooth scrolling, particularly given that I like to edit config files, CSV files and the like with Mousepad (also, using a monospace font there anyway).

gtksourceview4. Would this require a request to upstream, first?No, I don't think so. It's handled by GtkScrolledWindow (or the GtkAdjustement it uses), which is not GSV's responsibility.
But I'm not sure such an option will ever be added. Especially as there's already a simple way of achieving this: using the arrow keys.

I don't think this counts. It only works if the cursor is currently at the top/bottom edge, but what if I wanted the cursor to stay at a specific position and still scroll? ;)
If there's no popular demand for such a feature, I may try to contribute this myself (if I find the time...). Although I am not familiar at all with XFCE or GTK codebases.
