Window appears when the cinnamon desktop restarts
I use gigolo 0.5.1 on Linux Mint 20.2. I start it automatically, whenever I log in. I also have Show status icon in the Notification Area
and Start minimized in the Notification Area
set. This works fine, until …
I already noticed on older Linux Mint versions, that the the gigolo main window appears every time cinnamon
restarted after cinnamon
crashed. Then I had to close the gigolo window after such a crash.
Since Linux Mint 20.2, cinnamon restarts itself, if it detects, that it uses too much memory (see "Cinnamon 5.0 | Performance and resource usage" at https://www.linuxmint.com/rel_uma_cinnamon_whatsnew.php). Now it becomes a bit of annoying that the gigolo window re-appears "out of nothing", because most of the time the restart is not noticeable at all. It is the only program running in the notification area, which shows this behaviour. Would it be possible to change that, so that gigolo stays in the notification area after a restart of cinnamon
?
