Selecting multiple items and then activating context menu flashes the selection

Version: 4.18.0

I noticed that if you select/highlight multiple items and then right click to open up context menu for all the items, the selection/highlight seems to flash quickly going to one highlight and then back to multi highlight. If possible would this be something that can be updated to just open the context menu and leave the selection/highlight as it is.

Steps To Reproduce:
1.) Perform a search to generate some results in the file pane

2.) Select/highlight 5 items (happens no matter how many items are selected, 5 is just example)

3.) RMB click on the 3rd selected item (which is the file in the middle of the 5 items selected)
If you HOLD DOWN the RMB button on that 3rd item, you should notice....
-the selection/highlight now gets removed visually from the other 4 items that were selected and now is only selecting that 3rd item
-the context menu does not show up yet (which makes sense)

4.) Now if you release the RMB button, you should notice....
-now the other items (all 5) get selected visually again
-the context menu now shows up (which makes sense)\

So if user just quickly RMB clicks to call up the context menu, the selection/highlight observation mentioned above, kind of appears like a quick flashing of the highlight.
Can be distracting / at first you think that the items have been deselected, but then the full selection comes back.
